Christmas Trees Needed For The Bracebridge Library

Here’s one way to get into the spirit of giving this holiday season. The Coulson Family Bracebridge Library is looking for donations of artificial Christmas trees or decorations as it prepares for its holiday season.

The celebration is called The Polar Express Holiday Event and is based on the iconic Christmas film. That happens Friday, November 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with crafts and activities for all ages, hot chocolate, and music to get you in the festive spirit. The highlight of the event will be the lighting of 12 trees that will be displayed throughout the library.

“We want to help the environment by keeping useable trees out of the landfill,” explains Ashleigh Whipp, Manager of Community Engagement & Programming. “And, in the spirit of the holiday season, we want to use the donated trees and decorations to turn the library into a winter spectacle for the entire community to enjoy.”

If you’d like to donate an artificial tree or decorations please contact Ashleigh at 705-645-4171 ext. 3808 or email info@bracebridgelibrary.ca to arrange a drop-off time.

The library is hosting plenty of events between Tuesday, November 26th and Friday, December 20th. You can register for them on the library’s website.
