Exclusive Video: Update On Gravenhurst Robbery

Gravenhurst Man Charged After Exclusive Robbery Video Sparks Community Reaction

Please note that the video contains foul language

Last week, 705BLACKFLY.COM received exclusive video of a robbery in progress in Gravenhurst. At the time, the OPP were still investigating and hadn’t named the suspect or laid charges. Consequently, we opted not to show the suspect’s face for legal reasons.

We can now confirm that police have charged 33-year-old Brandon Condrey of Gravenhurst with:

–      Theft under $5000

–      Assault with a weapon

–      Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was held in custody after a bail hearing and is now scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The incident had happened at approximately 1:20 PM on Muskoka Rd South in Gravenhurst. The witness who shot the video told us that the suspect came out of the Muskoka Bay Clothing store after allegedly stealing several items.

Members of the public kept track of the suspect from a safe distance and police arrived within minutes. The suspect began experiencing a medical emergency and was transported to hospital in police custody.

After we posted the video with the suspect’s face blacked out, 705BLACKFLY.COM received some complaints. We’d like to reiterate that we did so for legal reasons. Now that the OPP has confirmed his identity and laid charges, we are running the unedited video attached to this story.

We also spoke to the witness who shot the frightening incident on his cell phone. You can listen to that interview on the audio file.  He has asked us to remain anonymous.

Thank you to everyone who stepped up to keep the community safe.
