Heritage Festival Car Show

The countdown is on to this year’s Burk’s Falls & District Historical Society’s Heritage Festival. The annual celebration is being held on Saturday July 13th from 11 AM – 4 PM, and the Burk’s Falls Legion will host a pancake breakfast beginning at 8:30 AM.

One of the biggest events at the festival will be the Car Show. Organized by car enthusiast Jim Percy, the show features just about everything on wheels!

“We’re pushing just over 100 cars when last year we had about 40,” Jim told 705BLACKFLY.COM.

There will be about 40 prizes awarded at the Car Show in a variety of categories. We’ve proudly joined Reg Garnett of Asylum Hotrods as a sponsor for the second year in a row. 705BLACKFLY.COM will be giving away a Fishing Gear Gift Pack to the owner of our favourite vehicle. And be sure to stop by the car show tent to get your free 705BLACKFLY.COM sticker and pen!

Of course, there will be over 100 vendors, games, food, exhibits and music. The highlight of the Heritage Festival will be the Firefighters Challenge featuring the Southeast Almaguin Fire Department (Burk’s Falls, Kearney, Magnetawan, McMurrich/Monteith and Perry Stations). You can support your town’s firefighters by wearing their colours!

Another great new feature is the shuttle bus service that takes you right to the fairgrounds! For more information on routes check out the Heritage Festival’s website.

Remember – the Heritage Festival is completely free including popcorn and bottled water, so bring the entire family for a great day out.
