Huntsville’s Magical Portage Flyer Event

All aboard! Santa himself is extending a personal invitation for everyone to join him for a special train ride at Huntsville’s Muskoka Heritage Place.

The Portage Flyer Christmas is a ‘super-magical’ event that has been a holiday tradition in Huntsville since 2004. The evening features a ride on an open-air portage flyer train decked out in one

Once you’re on the Portage Flyer, you’ll ride the rails along the Muskoka River to the Purser’s Cabin at Fairy Lake Station where Santa Claus himself will be waiting to hear those last-minute holiday wishes.

Event: Portage Flyer Christmas Event

Where: Muskoka Heritage Place, Rotary Village Train Station, 100 Forbes Hill Drive, Huntsville (beside the Active Living Centre)

Date & Time: Saturday, December 23rd. Gates open at 4:30, Rides are from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm (the last train leaves at 7:30 pm). Train trips take roughly 20 minutes.

Admission: $5.00 per person (child or adult – no advance ticket sales or reserve seating) Cash, debit, Visa, and MasterCard will be accepted.

Parking: Parking is free at Huntsville High School, Canada Summit Centre, Active Living Centre or across the street from the Rotary Village Station.

Please arrive early and dress warmly as the event takes place outdoors. There is no smoking on town property and Muskoka Heritage Place does not allow pets. Registered service animals only.
