The Pit Stop Café Takes Off In Kearney

Need to cozy up to some comfort food? There’s a new eatery that’s bound to become your go-to place whenever you’re in Kearney.

As soon as you step through the doors of the Pit Stop Café, you know that you’re about to be treated like family – not surprising considering all dishes are homemade using family recipes. The cafe boasts a menu that includes hearty homemade soups, smoked meats, and pastries to die for. (Believe us – the chocolate cake is a must!!!) And if you’re in need of a slice, the café also sells pizza from Emsdale’s Yetti’s Pizza.

Pit Stop Café is owned by local Kearney entrepreneur Shawn Armstrong – who also owns Kearney Treasures. In addition to the homestyle menu, she and her team are serving up loads of community spirit. Customers are encouraged to nominate people doing good in the community for free lunches courtesy of the café and a local church. The café also provides a venue for local artisans to showcase their products.

Shawn wants everyone who visits Pit Stop Café to leave with a full tummy AND a full heart. Watch our interview with Shawn in the video below!
