42nd Annual Vintage Boat Show

Canada’s largest vintage boat show is about to sail into Gravenhurst. The ACBS – Toronto 42nd Annual Vintage Boat Show at the Muskoka Wharf takes place on July 8th from 9:00AM – 4:00PM. The Antique and Classic Boat Society Toronto is making history at the show with the introduction of judging and awards for Classic Glass boats. While fiberglass boats have been part of the show for several years, ACBS-Toronto is pioneering judging for this class of boats.

Show chair Mike Gridley says, “While last year’s show was extremely successful, we modified the show after the 2-year hiatus. For 2023, all the in-water and land displays and activities are there for families to enjoy. As well, this show is a judged show, which ensures we have the best of the best at the show.”

The ACBS-Toronto calls the Muskoka Wharf “a true jewel to hold an in-water boat show” and says they expect over 120 vintage boats on land and in water. The show is known for featuring fabulous antique/vintage wooden and classic fibreglass beauties. You can even catch Boats in Motion and enjoy a free ride in a vintage boat with the Ride Along Program.

One exciting new initiative planned for this year is a J-Craft water-ski show with vintage boats and skiers.  And returning to the show is the Nautical Flea Market where boat owners can search for that elusive part for their vintage boat. If you’re in the market for a boat, you can check out the Boats4sale area, plus there’s something for everyone in Vendors Alley. The Maple Leaf Antique Outboard Club will have an extensive show and sale of vintage outboard motors. For the kids, there’s the ACBS Youth Tent and Kids & Classics Tent for model boat building, paddle carving and much, much more.

The 42nd Annual Vintage Boat Show runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is free for the whole family. There is also free offsite parking and free shuttle buses. (See map below). Unfortunately, pets are not allowed but service animals welcome.

***705BLACKFLY.COM WILL HAVE A VIDEO PREVIEW OF THE SHOW NEXT WEEK – INCLUDING A RIDE ON ONE OF THE VINTAGE BOATS! WATCH FOR THAT STORY ON JULY 6TH!
