705BLACKFLY.COM shared a short video posted by Muskoka Paramedics on X. The video showed their new RRV – remote response vehicle – in action as Gravenhurst copes with its state of emergency. We were amazed when the post received hundreds of thousands of views.
Emergency vehicles can have trouble navigating the snow-covered roads, so the Muskoka Paramedic Services have been using their impressive RRV to plow through massive snow drifts to reach residents in need of help. The machine is equipped with emergency medical equipment to treat patients until they can get to an ambulance.
We spoke with Chief Jeff McWilliam of the Muskoka Paramedic Services and Emergency Management about this incredibly important – and incredibly cool! – piece of equipment. Check out our video.
