OPP Make Second Arrest In Almaguin Murder

Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police has made a second arrest after the body of a man was found in Magnetawan last month.

On November 21st, police located a deceased person in the area of Kirkpatrick’s Road and Highway 124. The person was later identified as 34-year-old Preston Daultry of North Bay.

After an extensive investigation that included door to door canvassing in the community, OPP made an arrest on December 1st. Dallas Snow, 32-years-old of Emsdale, has been charged with First Degree Murder. The accused appeared in court in Parry Sound on December 2nd.

On December 3rd, officers made a second arrest in relation to the investigation. 28-year-old Merrick Romere Mangallon of Scarborough was arrested and charged with first degree murder, forcible confinement and kidnapping while using firearm.
The accused remains in custody.
