Gravenhurst’s Vintage Boat Show: A Celebration of History

The Antique and Classic Boat Society-Toronto’s 43rd Annual Vintage Boat Show made huge waves in Gravenhurst on July 12th. With over 120 classic wooden and fibreglass vessels on both land and water, Canada’s largest vintage boat show did not disappoint!

Favorites like the Nautical Flea Market, the Boats-4-sale area and Vendors’ Alley all returned for the show. One exciting new initiative was the Muskoka Motor Club Car Show in the sports field. The annual event, which was cancelled in 2024 due to construction, attracts visitors from across North America. Enthusiastic fans returned in droves for the show, with an estimated attendance of over 5,000 people.

Much of Muskoka’s history, growth and prosperity are rooted in boating. Iconic boat builders like Greavette, Minett, Duke, and Ditchburn are renowned worldwide for their craftsmanship and designs, and their influence endures in the region. In a special feature video, 705BLACKFLY.COM looks at how Muskoka’s boating history lives on through the historic vessels on display at the Annual Vintage Boat Show in Gravenhurst.
