705BLACKFLY.COM has received exclusive video of a robbery in progress in Gravenhurst.
The incident happened on Muskoka Rd South at approximately 1PM. Witnesses say that a man came out of the Muskoka Bay Clothing store after allegedly stealing several articles of clothing.
When approached by the store owner and witnesses, the suspect brandished a weapon that appears to be a knife. While speaking to police on the telephone, the witnesses followed the suspect from a distance until he entered a house. Several police units responded.
705BLACKFLY.COM has spoken with OPP Constable Samantha Bigley who told us that the incident is under investigation and further details will be released shortly. She emphasized that “…public safety is the priority.”

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating another theft from a local retailer in Gravenhurst.
On Thursday February 12, 2026 at 1:20 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a local retail store on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst. After being confronted by store staff, the male suspect took off on foot with a variety of items. Members of the public kept track of the suspect from a safe distance and police arrived within minutes.
The suspect began experiencing a medical emergency and was transported to hospital in police custody. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it’s available.
