Project Porchlight Firefighter Food Drive

Firefighters across the 705 hit the streets December 7th for the annual Project Porchlight Firefighter Food Drive.  Staff and volunteers in fire trucks went door to door collecting non-perishable food donations across our community.

It’s not too late to give. Many food banks have reported a significant drop in donations this year.  Items in need include:

  • Peanut butter
  • Jam
  • Canned meats
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Instant oatmeal
  • Hamburger Helper
  • Granola bars
  • Juice
  • Boxed mac ‘n’ cheese

Donations can be made at your local food bank or contact your local fire department for a drop off.
