There were two accidents involving snowmobiles over the weekend – one fatal.
The first incident happened at around 2:45 PM on February 25th in Lake of Bays. Huntsville OPP received a report of a single snowmobile crash into a tree on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs Trail D102B near Muskoka Road 117. A 43-year-old man from Burlington was airlifted to a trauma centre in Toronto with serious injuries.
Also on the 25th – a person in their 40’s was killed after a crash in North Bay. That incident is under investigation and the OPP told us there are no further details.
