Sudbury Suspicious Death Now Deemed A Murder

Detectives from Sudbury Police are now calling a suspicious death from 2024 a homicide.

Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on July 31, 2024, officers were dispatched to the large gazebo northeast of the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park for an individual who required medical attention. Paramedics determined that the individual was already deceased. At the time, the identity of the victim was unknown. He was later identified as 36-year-old Pat Forgues.

The Coroner’s Office has determined that the injuries sustained by Forgues cannot be explained. Through the postmortem it was confirmed that he suffered significant internal injuries that were not self-inflicted. Consequently, Sudbury Police have deemed the case a homicide.
